Our guide(s) will receive you from the airport. Soon you will be transferred to hotels. On this day, our participants can relax and recover from their long journey.
Pickup information
It is very easy to spot our guide, holding orange placards with our company’s logo and your name on it. You must arrive at Islamabad International Airport, Islamabad. International flights normally arrive at midnight or in the afternoon. You must give us the details of your flights, both inbound and outbound at least five days prior to your arrival in Pakistan. Our staff/guide will receive you at the gates of international arrivals unless you are taking a connecting flight from another city of Pakistan. The guide/staff will transfer you to our partner hotel. In case you do not require airport transfer, please inform us in advance.
After lunch and some rest at the hotel (ideally if you are arriving in the morning between 9am to 12pm), our guide/representative will pickup all our guests around 6pm for briefing and remaining payments at our office followed by a dinner. If you are coming late, we will manage remaining payments and briefing in Skardu.
Participants on this morning will take the spectacular flight from Islamabad airport to Chitral airport. After arrival in Chitral, the day is free.
The domestic flights sometime get cancelled due to weather conditions. Incase of flight cancellation, you will drive to Chitral for overnight. It takes eight to ten hours by a vehicle.
A link road runs to Uthool before Warijun, Mulkho's biggest hamlet; do not take the route just beyond Warijun that connects to Zani village. The road from Uthool continues for a few km to Zani An. It was designed to deliver an air compressor to the canal construction site. The canal, which has been under construction since 1992, will transport water from a ridge-top lake to Mulkho. The road beyond Uthool is not properly maintained, so you'll need a jeep to reach there. Drivers may travel further if the conditions are suitable and you pay an extra cost.
Jeeps travel from Chitral to Mulkho. Any Tirich-bound jeep will transport you to Warijun. You can either wait for a local jeep to Uthool, arrange a Warijun-Uthool special hire or walk for many hours to Uthool, which is 675 metres above Warijun. Chitral-Uthool jeeps take five hours, but there are just a few in the village. Hires that are unique.
Embark on a strenuous walk over Zani Pass, navigating through rugged terrain and ascending to higher altitudes while taking in panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Continue on to Shagrom, a lovely village set in the Tirich Valley where you will feel the warmth of rural hospitality and immerse yourself in the local way of life.
Set out on another phase of your journey, deeper into the wilderness as you make your way to Shogor Biasum, surrounded by pristine natural beauty and calm scenery.
Jughor
Jughor hamlet is located near the mouth of the Jughor Gol, south and across the river from Chitral town. Plan to go to Jughor the day before you begin organising any trips. There are four challenging passes near the valley's head: two south to Shishi Gol and two east, one to Koghozi Gol and the other to Roghili Gol.
Walk up the valley from Jughor to a cabin at Chhato Shal (3048m), where the trail intersects with the true left bank. Continue for another 750 metres until a trail intersection (3161 metres). One road ascends the Kapashung Gol to the passes leading to Shishi Gol, while the other ascends the Bungolbahan Gol to the remaining two.
The Kapashung Gol path divides Father Valley. The trail to the southeast passes through Domukh An (4380m) and leads to Kalas in Shishi Gol. The road to the south follows the true right bank of the Kapashung Gol for three km, via the highest branch, to Kapashung Gree (4318m), which also flows into Shishi Gol.
The east route up Bungolbahan Gol takes the true left (south) bank and offers two options. To begin, travel 3 kilometres down the valley from the 3161m trail intersection and bridge the river. A difficult 500m ascent north leads to Koghozi An (4480m), followed by a steep drop into the Koghozi Valley and Koghozi hamlet on the Chitral-Gilgit route. This is a tough Class 3 cross-country route.
Second, continue half a kilometre northeast along the true left bank of the Bungolbahan Gol to Roghili Gree (4638m). Then it's an 850-meter scree descent into the upper Roghili Gol basin. The basin is labelled Angarbah on the Chitral (I-42 F) sheet, but the people are unfamiliar with the term. Follow the south bank of a creek for 8 kilometres northeast to the lake Lut Chhat (3764 metres). You can descend Roghili Gol from a trail junction 500m above the lake by crossing the stream that feeds the lake and contouring along its north side (see the Roghili Gol climb). You could also cross Roghili An.
A Roghili
From Lut Chhat in the upper Roghili Gol, a route leads to Madaglasht in Shishi Gol via the Roghili An (4496m). Continue along Lut Chhat's north and west shores. Continue 500 metres beyond the lake and cross the stream on its south side. Two pathways separate here, one to the Roghili An and the other to the more difficult Roghili Gree (see Jughor above). The steep route to Roghili An (4496m) follows a southeast turn and ascends a stony ridge to Madaglasht in Shishi Gol.
Take a well-deserved break to explore the surrounding area at your leisure, whether it's relaxing in nature or interacting with the locals.
Retrace your steps back to Shagrom, reflecting on your journey and reconnecting with the village's friendly ambiance.
Take a picturesque jeep ride back to Chitral, where you'll say goodbye to the mountains and start preparations for the next phase of your trip.
Visit the region's natural splendor, head out to the picturesque valleys around Chitral. The Kalash Valley is known for its distinct Kalasha culture, whilst the Bumburet Valley provides breathtaking vistas of lush foliage and crystal-clear waterways.
Embark on an exciting journey to Kalash Valley, home to the unique Kalash people and their lively culture, and gain insight into Pakistan's diverse ethnic heritage.
Take a scenic drive to Chitral from Kalash Valley, weaving through the breathtaking vistas of the Hindu Kush mountains, where you will be mesmerised by Pakistan's natural splendour.
Take a picturesque flight to Islamabad and see bird's-eye views of Pakistan's various landscapes as you soar through the skies towards the country's capital.
The domestic flights sometime get cancelled due to weather conditions. Incase of flight cancellation, you will drive to Islamabad for overnight. It takes eight to ten hours by a vehicle.
